CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Alnylam Pharmaceuticals has released its 2025 Corporate Responsibility Report, outlining the company’s work on patient access, environmental goals, philanthropy and governance as it continues to grow its RNAi therapeutics business.
The Cambridge-based biotechnology company said the report is organized around six areas: patients, science, employees, communities, environment and operations, and governance and integrity. The theme of the report is “Accepting Challenges to Improve the Health of Humanity.”
“As we look to the future, our ambition is clear: to deliver life-changing medicines to millions of patients while operating with integrity, discipline, and accountability. Our Corporate Responsibility work is essential to achieving this ambition.” said Yvonne Greenstreet, M.D., Chief Executive Officer of Alnylam.
Among the report’s highlights, Alnylam said it published a greenhouse gas emissions reduction framework covering Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions through 2030. The company said the framework was supported by an independent third-party assessment of its emissions inventory and methodology.
Alnylam also said it expanded global patient access and support, including the launch of a new Patient Advisory Council. The company said it nearly doubled the size of its case management and access and reimbursement teams and published data tied to its patient access philosophy.
The company also increased investment in its Alnylam Challengers philanthropy program, committing $2 million over two years to support frontline care navigators in underserved Boston communities. The effort includes partnerships with Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston Medical Center and Whittier Street Health Center.
Alnylam said the report also includes case studies on corporate responsibility investments tied to artificial intelligence, manufacturing, clinical trials and employee resource networks.
