BURLINGTON, Mass. — Myomo, Inc. (NYSE American: MYO), a wearable medical robotics company developing devices for people with neurological disorders and upper-limb paralysis, has appointed Mary-Katherine “Katie” McClure as Chief Commercial Officer, effective October 12.

McClure succeeds Micah Mitchell, who will remain with the company through December 23 to assist with the leadership transition.

McClure brings more than 20 years of experience in medical technology sales, commercial operations, physician engagement and business development. She joins Myomo from Inspire Medical Systems, where she worked since 2018 and helped expand the company’s commercial operations.

During her tenure at Inspire, the company’s annual revenue grew from approximately $50 million to nearly $1 billion, while revenue in the territories under her leadership increased from $2 million to $150 million.

Previously, McClure held senior medical device sales positions at Medtronic, Tobii Dynavox and Johnson & Johnson.

“We are excited for Katie to join us as we enter our next phase of growth,” said Paul R. Gudonis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Myomo. “Her experience building commercial teams, expanding market access, and scaling clinical networks is directly relevant to our strategic plan.”

In her new role, McClure will oversee Myomo’s commercial strategy, including efforts to expand access to its MyoPro wearable robotic device, which is designed to improve upper-extremity function in people with neurological impairments.

“My passion is in developing commercial enterprises. The MyoPro is a life-changing product for people suffering from upper-extremity impairment,” McClure said. “I’m confident we can build a sustainable nationwide eco-system of orthotics and prosthetics providers, therapists and other healthcare professionals to expand market awareness of and access to the MyoPro.”

Gudonis also acknowledged Mitchell’s contributions to the company’s growth, including the development of its direct provider business, which now accounts for approximately 70% of annual revenue.

“Micah was instrumental in building our commercial organization to support the creation of our direct provider business,” Gudonis said.

Under Mitchell’s leadership, Myomo’s annual revenue increased from less than $2 million to more than $40 million, according to the company.

As part of her employment agreement, McClure received a time-based equity award covering 275,000 restricted stock units, scheduled to vest over three years, subject to continued employment.

She was also granted a performance-based equity award targeting 225,000 shares, with the potential to earn up to 337,500 shares depending on financial performance and stock price metrics through 2029.

The awards were approved by Myomo’s Board Compensation Committee under the employment inducement provisions of the NYSE American Company Guide.
