Waltham, Mass. — Revvity, Inc. has launched its SuperFlex prenatal screening system, a compact immunoassay platform designed to expand access to prenatal and preeclampsia testing for small and mid-sized laboratories and clinics.
The CE-IVDR certified system is intended for lower-volume testing environments, allowing healthcare providers to perform prenatal screening in-house rather than relying solely on high-throughput centralized laboratories.
SuperFlex supports testing for preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication that affects an estimated 2% to 8% of pregnancies. Revvity said demand for screening is increasing as maternal age rises globally and conditions such as diabetes and hypertension become more prevalent.
The company said the platform was designed to reduce financial and operational barriers associated with prenatal testing. The system requires one annual maintenance service and is designed to avoid reagent waste even at lower testing volumes.
SuperFlex also integrates with Revvity’s LifeCycle software for risk assessment and laboratory information management system data transfer. Continuous sample loading allows laboratories to receive results in as little as 14 minutes per test, according to the company.
“This SuperFlex offering represents a significant addition to our prenatal portfolio,” said Anna Godenhjelm, Vice President and General Manager of Reproductive Health at Revvity. “By removing the financial and operational barriers to in-house prenatal screening, we are giving more women access to potentially life-saving testing regardless of where they receive care.”
The system includes tests for first- and second-trimester biochemical prenatal screening and is designed as a random-access platform that can accommodate both routine and urgent testing.
SuperFlex will initially be available in markets that accept CE-marked instruments. Revvity plans to expand availability into the Asia-Pacific region in late 2026.
