WATERTOWN, Mass. — Ingenia Therapeutics said its shares have begun trading on the KOSDAQ market, with proceeds from the initial public offering expected to support development and commercialization of its vascular-targeted antibody pipeline.

The clinical-stage biotechnology company, founded in Boston in 2018, is developing antibody therapeutics based on technologies originating from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and the Institute for Basic Science.

Ingenia’s platform includes TIE-body, which is designed to directly activate the vascular stabilization receptor TIE2, and LCIDEC, or Ligand Capture & Internalization into Endothelial Cells, which is intended to stabilize damaged blood vessels while enabling targeted removal of disease-associated proteins.

The company’s lead program, IGT-427, also known as MK-8748, is an investigational bispecific antibody targeting TIE2 and VEGF. The therapy is being evaluated in late-stage clinical trials for neovascular age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema.

Ingenia entered into a research collaboration and licensing agreement with EyeBio in 2022. EyeBio was acquired by Merck in 2024 and became a wholly owned subsidiary.

Ingenia said it plans to use IPO proceeds to accelerate several additional programs, including IGT-303 for chronic kidney disease, which is in Phase 2a trials in Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. The company is targeting potential global out-licensing of the program in 2027.

The company is also advancing IGT-532, an oncology candidate for solid tumors, toward clinical development. Ingenia said the therapy is being designed as a potential alternative to conventional VEGF/PD-1 bispecific antibodies.

Its earlier-stage pipeline includes IGT-302 for glaucoma and IGT-627 for pulmonary arterial hypertension. The company is also working with research institutions including Harvard Medical School and Emory University School of Medicine.

“Going public on KOSDAQ is a transformative milestone for Ingenia as we lead a paradigm shift in vascular disease treatments,” said Sangyeul Han, Ph.D., CEO of Ingenia Therapeutics. “We are committed to demonstrating world-class technological excellence, executing key clinical milestones across our pipeline, and driving sustainable value for our shareholders.”
