SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Avenacy has launched Tranexamic Acid in 0.7% Sodium Chloride Injection in the U.S. market, marking the specialty pharmaceutical company’s 27th product launch since its founding in October 2023.
The Schaumburg-based company said the ready-to-use injectable product contains the same active ingredient as CYKLOKAPRON, as approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It is indicated for short-term use in patients with hemophilia to reduce or prevent hemorrhage and reduce the need for replacement therapy during and after tooth extraction.
Each vial contains 1,000 milligrams per 100 milliliters, or 10 milligrams per milliliter. The product is available in cartons of 10 single-dose ready-to-use vials.

Avenacy said the product will feature the company’s packaging and labeling designed to support accurate medication selection and improve patient safety.
The company said it will begin shipping Tranexamic Acid in 0.7% Sodium Chloride Injection to wholesale partners this week. Avenacy said it is supported by a global network of development and contract manufacturing partners that have undergone successful FDA inspections based on cGMP standards.
U.S. sales of Tranexamic Acid Injection were about $30.2 million for the 12 months ending in March 2026, according to the company. Ready-to-use presentations accounted for about $15 million of that total.
Tranexamic Acid Injection is contraindicated in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage, active intravascular clotting or hypersensitivity to tranexamic acid or any of its ingredients.
