NEW YORK — Scott+Scott Attorneys at Law LLP announced Thursday that it has launched an investigation into whether certain directors and officers of Boston Scientific Corporation breached their fiduciary duties to the company and its shareholders.

The investigation follows a significant decline in Boston Scientific’s stock price after the medical device manufacturer reported disappointing sales in its electrophysiology business earlier this year.

According to the law firm, Boston Scientific shares fell 17.6% on February 4, 2026, following the company’s announcement of weaker-than-expected sales in its electrophysiology segment.

Electrophysiology is a major area of Boston Scientific’s business, encompassing medical devices and technologies used to diagnose and treat abnormal heart rhythms.

Scott+Scott said its investigation will examine whether company executives and board members failed to adequately manage the business or made material misstatements or omissions to investors that could have harmed the company and its shareholders.

The firm is also examining whether Boston Scientific suffered financial or reputational damage as a result of the alleged conduct.

Attorney Joseph A. Pettigrew is leading the investigation.

The law firm said it is seeking information from Boston Scientific shareholders as it evaluates potential claims involving the company’s leadership.

Scott+Scott specializes in securities litigation, shareholder rights and corporate governance matters.

The announcement does not establish that Boston Scientific’s directors or officers violated their fiduciary duties. The allegations remain under investigation, and the law firm did not announce the filing of a lawsuit in connection with the inquiry.

Boston Scientific, headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, is a global medical technology company that develops and manufactures devices used in cardiovascular care, electrophysiology, endoscopy and other medical specialties.
