BOSTON — eClinical Solutions, a global provider of digital clinical trial software and services, announced Thursday the appointment of three senior executives as the company expands its operations and invests in artificial intelligence-driven clinical data management technologies.
The company named Nathan Johnson chief product officer, Brian Testa chief people officer and Jessica Allen chief financial officer.
The appointments come as eClinical Solutions reports continued business growth, including the addition of more than 15 new life sciences customers and partners so far in 2026.
The company said its elluminate Clinical Data Intelligence Platform now supports 19 of the world’s 50 largest pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations.
“eClinical Solutions is in a new phase of accelerated growth, driven by our unmatched commitment to deliver tangible ROI for our clients through a unified clinical data intelligence platform designed to modernize clinical trial infrastructure, streamline data management, and ultimately, drive tomorrow’s breakthroughs,” said Raj Indupuri, CEO and co-founder of eClinical Solutions.
“We’re energized by the deep expertise each of these strategic leaders bring to our executive team. Their roles will be critical as we scale, deepen our AI offerings, and continue to accelerate cycle times,” Indupuri added.
Johnson, who has worked at eClinical Solutions for more than five years, previously served as vice president of product management, vice president of digital innovation and director of data engineering.
As chief product officer, he will oversee the company’s product strategy and development roadmap, with an emphasis on expanding the capabilities of the elluminate platform.
His responsibilities will include advancing AI-powered intelligence and automation tools designed to help pharmaceutical companies manage complex clinical trial data and improve decision-making throughout drug development.
Johnson holds a master’s degree in biostatistics from Case Western Reserve University.
“The life sciences industry’s most compelling challenges sit at the intersection of AI, data, and real-world constraints. That is also where I believe some of the greatest opportunities lie,” Johnson said.
“I’m excited to work alongside an incredibly talented team to build products that make clinical development meaningfully better: applying AI with purpose, reducing unnecessary complexity, and helping people spend more of their time on the work where human expertise matters most,” he added.
Testa joins the executive team with more than 20 years of leadership experience across technology, healthcare, life sciences and high-growth companies.
Most recently, he served as chief people officer at iCAD, a publicly traded life sciences company, where he directed workforce strategy during a period of organizational transformation.
In his new position, Testa will oversee eClinical Solutions’ global people and culture strategy, including leadership development, employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
The company said his appointment is intended to support its expanding workforce while adapting to changes in the workplace driven by artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
Testa holds a bachelor’s degree in applied science from Nichols College.
“I am enthusiastic about eClinical Solutions’ purpose-driven approach to serving customers and its global workforce,” Testa said.
“With consistent recognition and workplace achievements, I am eager to bring my two decades of experience to further amplify people strategy, supporting employee excellence as the company future-proofs digital trials for sponsors,” he added.
Allen brings nearly 20 years of financial leadership experience spanning healthcare technology, publicly traded companies, private equity-backed businesses and multinational organizations.
Before joining eClinical Solutions, she served as senior vice president of finance and accounting at Aetion, which was acquired by Datavant.
At Aetion, Allen managed major financial functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury operations, tax and investor relations.
She previously held leadership positions at Amwell, Verizon, Fleetmatics and Rolls-Royce.
As chief financial officer, Allen will oversee the company’s financial strategy, with a focus on supporting sustainable expansion and directing investments toward areas that strengthen its products and services.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in financial management from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
“My experience in supporting companies through times of rapid growth provides the expertise to support sustainable expansion and move the financial health of the company forward during this exciting phase of momentum, ensuring long-term success,” Allen said.
The executive appointments reflect eClinical Solutions’ efforts to expand its position in the clinical technology market as pharmaceutical companies increasingly adopt AI, automation and integrated data platforms to improve the efficiency of clinical trials.
