BOSTON — Bambusa Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing bispecific antibody treatments for immunological and inflammatory diseases, has appointed Jonathan I. Lieber as Chief Financial Officer.
Lieber brings more than 30 years of financial, strategic and operational experience in the life sciences industry, including leadership roles at several publicly traded biotechnology companies.
He joins Bambusa from Rallybio Corporation, where he served as Chief Financial Officer since February 2023. Previously, he held the same position at Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation, a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on gene therapies.
Lieber also served as Managing Director at Danforth Advisors, now Danforth Health, providing financial and strategic guidance to public and private life sciences companies.
Earlier in his career, he held Chief Financial Officer positions at Histogenics Corporation, Metamark Genetics, Repligen Corporation, Xcellerex and Altus Pharmaceuticals.

Xu said Lieber will play an important role in strengthening the company’s financial position and supporting the advancement of its drug development pipeline.
Lieber began his career in investment banking at Salomon Brothers/Salomon Smith Barney and Cowen and Company/SG Cowen.

Lieber currently serves on the boards of directors of Decoy Therapeutics, Mindwalk Holdings Corporation and Zola Therapeutics.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from Boston University and an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
