Montreal — Biodextris, a Laval, Quebec-based biologics contract development and manufacturing organization, has appointed Clement Fourny as Chief Executive Officer as the company looks to expand its biologics manufacturing business.
Fourny brings more than two decades of commercial and financial leadership experience in the life sciences and healthcare sectors.
Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Commercial at SmartLabs in Boston, where he led the company’s commercial organization and launched a Custom Solutions division that secured laboratory partnerships with biopharma companies across North America.
Before joining SmartLabs, Fourny served as General Manager, Commercial Operations & Strategy at Cytiva, formerly GE Healthcare Life Sciences, where he developed experience in the CDMO and biologics manufacturing sectors.
Biodextris said Fourny’s appointment comes as the company continues its transition from its origins as a GSK biologics development center into a flexible and scalable GMP biomanufacturing organization serving biopharma clients across North America.
The company said his experience in go-to-market strategy, global account management, commercial operations and organizational transformation will support Biodextris as it seeks to meet growing demand for specialized biologics manufacturing services.
