SAN DIEGO — IVI RMA North America has added reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist Dr. Kelly M. Chacón to its RMA San Diego care team.
Chacón is now seeing patients at the clinic at 4510 Executive Drive, Suite 150, the fertility care and assisted reproduction provider said.
“Patients come to me at one of the most difficult points in their lives, and it is my privilege to walk with them toward one of the most joyful,” Chacón said. “Having completed my fellowship training here in San Diego, I am especially grateful to continue caring for this community, listening first and partnering with each patient to provide personalized, evidence-based care at every step.”
Chacón earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with Distinction in the Major from Yale University and received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, where she was recognized as a Linnane Scholar for academic excellence and community leadership.
She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the Harvard combined program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital before completing a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California, San Diego.
Her research has focused on women’s health through basic science, clinical investigation and health policy, with work presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
Chacón treats patients across the spectrum of reproductive medicine, with clinical interests including ovulatory disorders such as polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, or PMOS, male infertility and oncofertility.
“Dr. Chacón’s thoughtful, patient-centered approach is a perfect reflection of the values that guide IVI RMA and further strengthens our commitment to timely, personalized care for patients who are building their families,” said Dr. Scott Morin, West Coast Medical Director at IVI RMA North America.
“Dr. Chacón brings a unique combination of clinical expertise, academic excellence, and a deep empathy for and understanding of the emotional journey our patients experience, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the San Diego clinical team,” Morin added.
