WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — eClinicalWorks said Bucksport Regional Health Center, a Maine-based Federally Qualified Health Center, is using its electronic health record and healow telehealth tools to improve patient engagement and access to care.
The 41-provider health center is using the eClinicalWorks patient portal, healow App and healow TeleVisits, and has web-enabled about 60 percent of its patient population, according to the company.
“Telehealth has become integral to delivering quality care,” said Jessica Fernald, Clinical Application Specialist at Bucksport Regional Health Center. “Telehealth services have become widely used for our behavioral health med management services. We have two psychology Family Nurse Practitioners who work from home and provide Med Management Services to patients. This is the highest used telehealth visit we see in use, even after the pandemic.”
The healow App gives patients access to health records, telehealth services, messaging, appointment reminders, clinical notes and medication management. healow TeleVisits is a HIPAA-compliant virtual care platform that includes pre-visit questionnaires, vital-sign capture and screen sharing.
eClinicalWorks said the tools have helped Bucksport Regional Health Center improve patient access and satisfaction by making remote care more convenient.
