Waltham, Mass. — BostonGene has been named the overall winner and an Outstanding Organization in the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards, while also receiving a product award for its multimodal artificial intelligence platform.
The awards, presented by the Business Intelligence Group, recognize BostonGene’s use of AI to support clinical trial design, patient selection and precision medicine development.
BostonGene develops AI-based models that combine genomic, transcriptomic, immune profiling, imaging and clinical data to help pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies identify predictive biomarkers, better understand treatment response and resistance, and make development decisions.
The company said its technology has been used in programs with global pharmaceutical partners to support translational research, biomarker strategies and decision-making across the research and development lifecycle.

BostonGene’s platform is built around an immune-focused foundation model designed to analyze the interactions between tumors and the immune system. The company said the approach treats the immune system as a driver of therapeutic response rather than solely as a secondary biomarker.
The platform is intended to help drug developers assess patient heterogeneity, refine clinical development strategies and evaluate key decisions throughout clinical trials.
BostonGene said the platform was trained using billions of data points, including an immune profiling dataset containing more than 18,000 blood samples.
The company’s research has been evaluated in independent patient groups and presented at scientific meetings including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research, American Society of Hematology, Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer and European Society for Medical Oncology.
Its findings have also appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Cancer Cell, Blood and Nature.
