Burlington, Massachusetts — Azara Healthcare has appointed Mary Lantin as president and CEO as the healthcare technology company seeks to expand its population health and value-based care solutions for providers and health plans.

Lantin joined the company June 15, succeeding Azara founder and longtime President and CEO Jeff Brandes. Brandes has moved into a full-time role as founder and executive adviser and will remain a member of the company’s board.

Azara supports more than 1,000 healthcare organizations in all 50 states, covering more than 50 million patients. Its clients include federally qualified health centers, safety-net providers, community and critical access hospitals, and health plans.

“Azara has always been built around mission, innovation and a deep commitment to the organizations and communities we serve,” said Jeff Brandes, Founder of Azara Healthcare. “This is a planned transition initiated as part of our long-term leadership planning, and it reflects both the strength of the business and the opportunities ahead. While I am transitioning from day-to-day leadership, I will remain actively engaged with Azara, working closely with clients, supporting strategic initiatives and contributing as a member of the Board. Mary is a values-driven, strategic and client-centered leader, and I am excited to partner with her in this next chapter.”

Lantin has more than two decades of healthcare technology leadership experience, with expertise in healthcare data, analytics, interoperability, operations strategy and enterprise growth.

She most recently served as senior vice president of operations strategy and partnerships at Centene. She previously held senior leadership positions at Availity, Diameter Health, Optum Analytics and Humedica.

“I am thrilled to join Azara Healthcare at such an important time in the company’s evolution,” said Mary Lantin. “Azara has built an exceptional reputation for helping providers and health plans turn complex data into meaningful action, especially in the safety net, where the opportunity to make a difference is significant. What drew me to Azara is not only the strength of its platform and market position, but also its mission, culture and commitment to clients. I am excited to work with Jeff, the leadership team, and employees across the company to build on that foundation and help accelerate Azara’s next phase of growth.”

Azara has worked with Insight Partners since late 2024 to expand collaboration between healthcare payers and providers through shared data, workflows and performance measurement.

“Azara is exceptionally well-positioned for its next stage of growth,” said Krishnan Sastry, Managing Director at Insight Partners and member of Azara’s Board of Directors. “Healthcare organizations increasingly need trusted partners that can connect data, improve performance and strengthen collaboration across providers and health plans. We believe Azara is uniquely positioned to meet that need, and Mary’s leadership will help accelerate the company’s ability to deliver value at scale.”

Under Brandes, Azara grew from a startup into a provider of population health and value-based care technology. The company said it will continue helping healthcare organizations improve outcomes and strengthen payer-provider collaboration through data-driven insights.
