NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Radiology Partners has appointed former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan to its board of directors, adding a former state executive with experience in public health, healthcare policy and cancer care advocacy.

Radiology Partners, a technology-enabled radiology practice operating through affiliated practices and its Mosaic Clinical Technologies subsidiary, said Hogan will support the company’s physician-led efforts to expand clinical, technology and AI-driven innovation in radiology.

“Gov. Hogan brings a unique combination of executive leadership, healthcare policy perspective and personal experience that aligns deeply with our mission,” said Rich Whitney, RP board chair and CEO. “He understands the importance of timely diagnosis, clinical innovation and coordinated care, and he brings insights that will be incredibly valuable as RP continues working to drive clinical, technology and AI innovation to improve patient outcomes.”

Hogan served as Maryland’s 62nd governor from 2015 to 2023 and chaired the National Governors Association from 2019 to 2020. Shortly after taking office, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and continued serving while undergoing treatment, an experience Radiology Partners said helped shape his advocacy for early cancer detection, research and innovation.

As governor, Hogan advanced healthcare and life sciences initiatives, including Maryland’s $216 million Cancer Moonshot program, which was designed to expand cancer detection, treatment, research capacity and workforce development. His administration also focused on healthcare affordability and access and led the state’s response during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m honored to join the board of Radiology Partners in support of its mission to transform radiology,” Hogan said. “I know firsthand the importance of timely, accurate diagnosis for patients and families alike. As governor, and as chair of the National Governors Association during COVID-19, I saw the essential role physicians and clinical innovation play in strengthening care delivery and improving outcomes. I look forward to working closely with the Radiology Partners team and taking part in the exciting transformative innovation that is underway.”

Radiology Partners said Hogan’s background in public service, healthcare policy and personal experience as a cancer survivor will support its long-term focus on physician-led care, technology innovation and scalable radiology services.
