BOSTON — Ontada, a McKesson business focused on real-world oncology data and insights, has integrated data from Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute into its data ecosystem, expanding its view of community oncology care for biopharma partners.

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is part of The US Oncology Network, a network of independent, community-based providers. Ontada said the integration will add data from more than 530 providers and strengthen its ability to deliver real-world insights into cancer testing, treatment behavior and biomarker data.

The company said the collaboration connects clinical data with analytics and evidence-generation tools to support research and improve understanding of how cancer care is delivered in community settings. The expanded data set is intended to better represent diverse community-based patient populations, support more scalable research and improve engagement with life sciences companies.

“By collaborating to integrate FCS’ data into our ecosystem, we are expanding our real-world data to better reflect the realities of community oncology,” said Christine Davis, president, Ontada. “This broader perspective strengthens research, informs decisions and supports more personalized, effective care for patients.”

Ontada said the integration will expand several parts of its product portfolio. Its ON.Dispensing offering will add more than 270,000 oral prescriptions annually across more than 4,000 unique National Drug Codes from Florida Cancer Specialists, providing a broader view of in-office dispensing across community oncology practices.

The company also said its Clinical DataViews Alerts & Reports will gain broader patient cohorts, additional geographic awareness, greater longitudinal depth and earlier clinical signals tied to real-world treatment adoption.

Ontada said its real-world evidence portfolio will be strengthened through greater scale and representation across community oncology populations, including deeper collaboration with Florida Cancer Specialists researchers for practice-specific engagements. The expanded data assets are also expected to support new observational studies and extend findings from research collaborations.

Ontada Learn, the company’s provider education platform, will also expand its reach through the integration. The platform is used to deliver targeted education on new therapies, testing and guidelines, and Ontada said the Florida Cancer Specialists data will allow biopharma companies to connect with more clinicians using content informed by clinical trial and real-world evidence.

“FCS has long been committed to advancing research and improving patient care through real-world data,” said Lucio N. Gordan, MD, FCS president and managing physician. “By deepening our collaboration with Ontada, we are strengthening the impact of our data to support evidence generation that benefits patients, providers, and the broader oncology community.”
