LEXINGTON, Mass. — FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation said Taisuke (Tai) Fujita, senior vice president of its U.S. endoscopy division, has been awarded the 2026 Industry Service ASGE Crystal Award by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

The honor recognizes leaders who have made significant contributions to gastrointestinal endoscopy through education, research, technological innovation, and support of efforts to improve patient care.

Fujita has more than 20 years of experience with Fujifilm and has led teams focused on business growth, market development, sales, repair, and customer service in the United States. Under his leadership, the company has introduced more than 30 endoscopic technologies to the U.S. market aimed at advancing imaging, enhancing physician techniques, and improving patient outcomes.

“It’s a great honor to receive this recognition, but it wouldn’t be possible without the support of our incredibly talented team that is committed to forging contributions to the market through ingenuity, customer partnership, and continued endoscopic technology innovation and evolution,” said Tai Fujita, senior vice president, FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation. “By partnering with endoscopists and other industry leaders to develop and deliver state-of-the-art endoscopic imaging and supporting technologies, it is very humbling to think how we play a vital role in supporting the transformation of patient care and quality of life across the U.S., and around the world. To me, this distinguished award is not only about past achievements Fujifilm has made and what we have contributed thus far to the advancement of endoscopic care, but also an expression of expectation for Fujifilm’s continued contributions to the market going forward.”

The company said it works closely with physicians, professional societies, and other partners to advance endoscopic innovation across a range of gastrointestinal and pulmonary applications, including endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic submucosal dissection, double balloon enteroscopy, and third space endoscopy.

“On behalf of the ASGE Foundation, we honor Taisuke Fujita of FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation with the 2026 ASGE Industry Service Award,” said Colleen M. Schmitt, M.D., MHS, MASGE, FACG, chair of the ASGE Foundation. “Tai is a strong supporter of the ASGE mission and has advanced curated endoscopic innovation with a focus on value. His reputation shines as an example of clinically meaningful, generous, intelligent collaboration that improves patient outcomes and physician work. Thank you, Tai!”

Fujita is scheduled to be recognized at the 2026 ASGE Crystal Awards Gala, which will be held in conjunction with the Digestive Disease Week conference.
