DEERFIELD, Ill. — Baxter International highlighted new additions to its surgical and patient support portfolios at the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses Global Surgical Conference & Expo 2026 in New Orleans.
The company is featuring its latest technologies, including the AAT XR spine surgical table and the Dynamo Series smart stretcher, at the event, which runs April 11–14.
“Innovation at Baxter is shaped by the realities of how care is delivered today,” said James Teaff, president of Care & Connectivity Solutions at Baxter. “Through close collaboration with healthcare professionals, we consistently evolve our portfolio to help enhance efficiency and support safer care across hospital settings. The new portfolio additions we’re exhibiting at AORN reflect our commitment to driving meaningful improvements that help reduce the burden on care teams while supporting improved patient outcomes.”
The AAT XR is designed to improve workflow during spine procedures by allowing surgical teams to rotate patients up to 180 degrees without removing them from the table. The system includes dual control points, fast lock and unlock functions, and an increased weight capacity of up to 650 pounds. Additional features include a lower minimum height for improved surgical access and a lithium-ion battery designed to extend operational life.
Baxter said the table is expected to become available in the United States in the second half of 2026, with additional international rollout planned later in the year.
The company is also showcasing its Dynamo Series smart stretcher, which is already available in the U.S. Designed with input from clinicians, the stretcher is intended to reduce the need for patient transfers, simplify positioning during procedures, and improve overall workflow in high-pressure care settings.
Baxter said the device is also aimed at reducing patient falls and improving comfort, while helping care teams manage increasing demands in hospital environments.
The company’s presence at the conference also includes its broader portfolio of advanced surgical products, including hemostatic and sealing agents used in operating rooms.
