PORTLAND, Maine — Boston IVF, a fertility services provider and member of the IVI RMA North America network, has expanded its Maine care team with the addition of Dr. Alexandra Huttler, a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist who previously completed her fellowship with Boston IVF.
Huttler is now accepting patients for in-person and telehealth appointments at Boston IVF’s Portland Fertility Center, located at 778 Main Street, Suite 2.
“Dr. Huttler brings a skilled and thoughtful approach to reproductive medicine, a strong commitment to her patients, and a passion for advancing fertility care through research,” said Dr. Alan Penzias, Northeast Medical Director of IVI RMA North America. “Her expertise will further strengthen our team and make a meaningful difference for our fertility patients.”
Huttler earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital, part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where she served as Chief Resident.
She subsequently completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Boston IVF.
Huttler has authored several peer-reviewed publications focused on reproductive medicine. Her research interests include the ethical implications of genetics in in vitro fertilization, assisted reproductive technology outcomes and disparities in access to fertility treatments.

Her appointment expands Boston IVF’s reproductive medicine services in Maine, providing patients with additional access to fertility treatment and preservation options.
