WALTHAM, Mass. — BostonGene announced that its Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Nathan Fowler, will participate in the 2nd Annual Global Cancer Research & Innovation Symposium, scheduled for October 5–6, 2026, in New York City.

Fowler will join oncology and biotechnology leaders for a panel discussion examining how artificial intelligence and integrated molecular and immune data can improve cancer drug discovery, clinical trial design and treatment development.

The session, titled “Multi-Omics: One Size Does Not Fit All!,” will explore how whole genome sequencing, single-cell analysis, spatial transcriptomics and other advanced technologies can help researchers understand treatment responses, identify patients most likely to benefit from specific therapies and guide clinical development strategies.

“The objective is not simply to generate more data. It is to understand why a therapy works in one patient and not another, and then translate that biology into decisions that improve clinical development,” Fowler said.

“By placing each patient and drug into a broader biological context, we can identify mechanisms of response and resistance, define the patients most likely to benefit, and help development teams make better decisions about biomarkers, trial design, and therapeutic strategy.”

The panel will be moderated by Stan Skrzypczak, Managing Partner at 5 Prime Life Science Consulting.

Joining Fowler will be Dr. Serge Saxonov, CEO and Co-Founder of 10x Genomics; Dr. Elli Papaemmanuil, Global Vice President of Oncology, Translational Medicine at Genentech; and Dr. Prathesh Sathyan, Head of AMR Oncology and Medical Affairs at Illumina.

The discussion will focus on translating advances in genomic analysis, tumor biology and AI-driven research into more informed decisions throughout oncology drug development.
