Boston, Mass. — epocrates has entered a multi-year partnership with ScriptSave to integrate real-time prescription drug pricing and savings information into its digital platform for clinicians.
The companies said the collaboration will combine epocrates’ clinical information with ScriptSave’s drug pricing data, allowing healthcare providers to view potential medication costs and savings options at the point of care before prescriptions are written.
The integration is intended to help clinicians discuss medication affordability with patients and identify lower-cost options when appropriate. It will provide pricing information across different drug forms and highlight potential savings opportunities within epocrates’ existing drug content.

The companies said medication costs can contribute to patients leaving prescriptions unfilled. The new integration is designed to give clinicians more current pricing information during prescribing and help support discussions about affordable treatment options.
