NEW YORK — Pomerantz LLP said a securities class action has been filed against Insulet Corporation and certain company officers, alleging investors were misled about manufacturing controls and potential product safety risks.
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts under case number 26-cv-13062, represents investors who purchased or otherwise acquired Insulet securities between Feb. 21, 2025, and May 26, 2026.
The complaint seeks damages under Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5. Investors seeking appointment as lead plaintiff have until Aug. 31, 2026, to file a motion with the court.
Insulet develops insulin delivery systems for people with insulin-dependent diabetes, including its Omnipod 5 automated insulin delivery system and Omnipod Dash system.
The complaint alleges that Insulet and certain executives made materially false or misleading statements or failed to disclose problems with the company’s manufacturing controls and procedures. It further alleges that the deficiencies created an increased risk that Insulet products could violate safety regulations or pose a risk of injury.
On March 12, 2026, Insulet announced that it had “initiated a voluntary Medical Device Correction for specific lots of Omnipod® 5 Pods after identifying a manufacturing issue through its ongoing product monitoring.”
Insulet shares fell $16.23, or 6.88%, to close at $219.84 on March 13.
The company announced another voluntary Medical Device Correction on May 26 involving specific lots of Omnipod 5, Omnipod Dash and Omnipod Insulin Management System pods. Insulet said a manufacturing issue identified through ongoing monitoring could result in insulin under-delivery.
Following that announcement, Insulet shares declined $7.79, or 5.07%, to close at $146.01 on May 27.
Pomerantz said investors who acquired Insulet securities during the class period may seek to participate in the case.
