Boston — WHOOP has appointed Kristen Moss as its first Chief Communications Officer as the human performance company expands globally and surpasses 3 million members worldwide.

In the newly created role, Moss will lead WHOOP’s global communications strategy and work to strengthen the company’s brand and reputation as it broadens its focus on human performance, health and longevity.

Moss most recently served as Vice President of Strategic Communications for North America at The Coca-Cola Company, where she helped oversee communications across one of the company’s largest markets.

She previously served as Head of Global Corporate Communications for Reebok within the adidas organization. In that role, she led communications related to Reebok’s $2.5 billion sale to Authentic Brands Group.

Earlier in her career, Moss held communications and marketing positions at Liberty Mutual, MediaVest, Condé Nast, FTI Consulting and Polo Ralph Lauren.

“The next chapter of WHOOP isn’t just about growing our business but about sharing a story that inspires millions of people to take control of their health,” said Will Ahmed, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of WHOOP. “Kristen is an exceptional communicator and a hands-on leader, and we’re excited for her to help shape how the world understands WHOOP.”

WHOOP said Moss joins the company as it builds on its position in human performance and expands its efforts to help people better understand their health, improve daily habits and live longer.

“The WHOOP mission is deeply personal to me,” Moss said. “Health is the foundation for how we show up in every part of our lives, and WHOOP gives people the insight to make more informed decisions about their health every day. The company has earned extraordinary trust with elite athletes, and its potential reaches far beyond sport. I’m excited to join WHOOP and help tell that bigger story – one that inspires more people to unlock their potential through a better understanding of their own health.”

Moss is a three-time New York City Marathon finisher and has completed more than 15 half marathons.
