BOSTON — Greater Boston Urology has added Dr. Ravi Kacker and the MetroWest Urology team, expanding the practice’s presence in Natick and strengthening its footprint across the region.

Kacker, a Harvard-trained, board-certified and fellowship-trained urologist, will continue serving patients from his existing Natick practice. Greater Boston Urology said the addition gives patients access to a broader network of resources, technology and clinical expertise while preserving the community-based care model of Kacker’s practice.

Greater Boston Urology is the largest urology group in Massachusetts. With the addition of the Natick office, the practice now includes 10 urology care centers and two interventional radiology centers serving Greater Boston and surrounding communities. The group is an affiliate of U.S. Urology Partners, which supports community-based urology practices and is backed by General Atlantic.

“We are thrilled to have Dr. Kacker and his team join Greater Boston Urology. Dr. Kacker has a very busy practice, is well respected in the community, and beloved by his patients. His commitment to his practice and patients aligns with our mission at Greater Boston Urology to provide best-in-class urological care in the greater Boston communities,” said Jonathan S. Brajtbord, M.D., Chair, Physician Clinical Council of Greater Boston Urology.

Kacker said the partnership will allow his practice to maintain its patient-focused approach while gaining support from a larger organization.

“Joining Greater Boston Urology allows me to continue providing the personalized, high-quality care my patients expect while gaining access to additional resources, technology and collaborative expertise. This partnership ensures that our patients will benefit from the strength of a larger organization without losing the individualized approach that has always been central to my practice,” Kacker said.

Kacker’s practice covers general urology, with specialty areas including erectile dysfunction, bladder cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney stones, low testosterone, male fertility and vasectomy. He works with patients to develop treatment plans tailored to their goals and lifestyle.

In addition to his clinical work, Kacker has authored peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally on men’s health, infertility and sexual medicine. His research has focused in part on low testosterone and new approaches to urologic care developed with biopharmaceutical companies.

Kacker grew up in Maryland, attended undergraduate and medical school in Chicago, and completed additional medical training in Boston, including fellowship training in male hormones and fertility.
