SANTA MONICA, Calif. — GoodRx said it is expanding its offerings to include self-pay access to Novo Nordisk’s Ozempic pill, an oral semaglutide treatment for eligible patients with type 2 diabetes.

The company said eligible self-pay patients can access the oral treatment for as low as $149 per month through GoodRx’s nationwide pharmacy network. The addition gives patients an oral option under the Ozempic brand, which has been best known for its injectable semaglutide treatment.

“As Novo Nordisk brings the Ozempic pill to market, we’re focused on helping patients access it with clear, transparent pricing,” said Wendy Barnes, President & CEO of GoodRx. “The availability of an oral formulation under the Ozempic brand marks an important step forward, offering a convenient alternative to the established injectable. It also reflects GoodRx’s expanding work with Novo Nordisk across the entire semaglutide portfolio and its role in supporting patient access.”

GoodRx said the Ozempic pill is available to eligible self-pay patients at cash prices of $149 per month for the 1.5 mg dose, $199 per month for the 4 mg dose and $299 per month for the 9 mg dose.

“We’re excited to bring the Ozempic pill to the GoodRx platform – adding a newly approved oral option under a brand people know and trust, and giving healthcare professionals more flexibility to tailor treatment for each patient,” said Ed Cinca, senior vice president, Marketing & Patient Solutions at Novo Nordisk. “Working with GoodRx helps expand access to our medicines, now including the Ozempic pill, with a clear self-pay pricing model.”

The Santa Monica, California-based prescription savings platform said the launch reflects its broader push beyond drug-price comparison into a consumer access platform for pharmaceutical manufacturers. GoodRx said the model is intended to help drugmakers reach patients directly, support clinically appropriate demand and provide transparent pricing at the pharmacy counter.
