NEW YORK & SAN FRANCISCO — Komodo Health has promoted Paul Thomas to Chief Financial Officer, placing him in charge of the company’s finance organization and enterprise financial strategy as demand grows for its artificial intelligence platform.

Thomas had served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Acting CFO since April 2025. The company said his appointment comes as healthcare and life sciences organizations increasingly move from using AI as a productivity tool to embedding it as a core enterprise capability.

Komodo said it is seeing increased adoption of Marmot, its AI analytics platform built on the company’s Healthcare Map, which it describes as a view of more than 330 million patient journeys. The platform is designed to help organizations move from static reporting and delayed insights to real-time intelligence across areas such as clinical trial design, launch strategy and post-market evidence generation.

“Paul’s expertise has been instrumental in advancing Komodo’s strong financial foundation and positioning us for our next phase of AI-led growth,” said Web Sun, President and Co-Founder, Komodo Health. “As our customers move from treating AI as a productivity tool to embedding it as a core part of how they operate, the discipline and strategic alignment he brings will be essential as we continue to scale.”

Since joining Komodo, Thomas has helped strengthen the company’s financial strategy, improve operational discipline and support investment across product innovation and go-to-market expansion. The company said his leadership has helped position Komodo to scale while continuing to invest in infrastructure for enterprise-grade AI development and deployment.

“Komodo is building the AI-powered intelligence that is fundamentally changing how organizations make decisions,” said Thomas. “My focus is on ensuring we have the financial strategy, systems, and discipline to support that growth while continuing to invest in the platform and capabilities that drive impact for our customers.”

Thomas has more than 20 years of experience in private and public company finance, strategic planning and investment research. Before joining Komodo, he led strategic finance and investor relations at Talkdesk and played a role in taking Sumo Logic public in 2020. Earlier in his career, he worked as a semiconductor engineer at Intel Corporation before moving into finance roles at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and Goldman Sachs.
